Plastic Lined Thrust and Guide Bearings |

| TOSHIBA has been recommending to adopt plastic lined thrust and guide bearings, which was originally developed in TOSHIBA, for hydroelectric power stations. After careful verification of the performance in factory test, the plastic lined thrust and guide bearings has been used more than 29 hydroelectric power stations and total 46 units since 1994, and all of them have successfully operated. Further, the plastic lined thrust bearing was adopted to 109 MVA generator-motor in 1999, and has also successfully operated. There are prospects to adopt the plastic lined thrust bearings up to 300 MVA class generator-motor.
