As far as generators are synchronous, they should be provided with excitation system. In order to expect high reliability, high system function, easy maintenance, etc. for the excitation system, static excitation equipment or brushless exciter are mainly adopted to most of hydro generators.
TOSHIBA is one of their manufacturers and have delivered much excitation equipment together with every hydro generator since 1965 for static excitation equipment and 1963 for brushless exciter.
