In these several decades, the development of cost-performance in digital equipment based on microprocessors has made them economically feasible to apply to the control system.
TOSHIBA presents the modernized digital control system utilizing the microprocessors for the hydroelectric power stations and it can achieve more intelligent and economical operation for the hydroelectric power stations.
In a hydroelectric power station, generally two main hierarchies are installed, that is, a central control level and a local automatic control level. The central control level provides overall monitoring and operation of a hydroelectric power station. While, the local automatic control level provides automatic sequence and monitoring of each generating unit and auxiliary equipment.
