This is a new type of power-generation system that uses a gas turbine to drive a generator. It also has facilities to recover waste heat from the gas turbine to generate steam and drive a steam turbine. Combined-Cycle technology operates at high thermal efficiency, generates large-capacity output, and has excellent operability. Another advantage is that NOx emissions from the gas turbine's exhaust have been reduced to very low levels.
