Basic design of control systems is determined based on requirements of all the plant engineering including mechanical and electrical engineering. The design also represents the needs of the customers, that is, plant owner. To ensure successful operation and maintenance, a basic system plan is created; the system's configuration is developed; I/O database is collected; control logic diagrams are prepared; and automation system is examined with dynamic simulation study.
