Solid Particle Erosion Protection - SPE-resistant Coating - |
 |
- Increasing the axial clearance between the nozzles and blades will effectively suppress the particle rebounding / striking mechanism
- Combining this modification with SPE-resistant chromium carbide coating on the exit suction surface of the nozzle will practically eliminate the SPE problem
- A significant heat rate benefit will be provided by the sustained efficiency available from the SPE-resistant nozzle diaphragm
