Why I joined EBSS

In my previous company I was engaged in ERP implementation. When I had the chance to partner with EBSS in a project, at that time what came to my mind was, "How free!". Actually I am not sure if "free" is the appropriate word, however when I saw EBSS member worked with their own discretion, I immediately think "That's interesting!"

In my previous job, discussion with overseas clients was mainly by email but in EBSS in order to negotiate with local people, the opportunity to go abroad increased. There might be some difficulties when the business scope expanded, but it's always exciting and challenging.

Current my tasks and important things as consultant

Recently, I participated in ERP package implementation project in a newly-built factory in India. We had to proceed from user explanation until starting the operation within a short period of time. So normally there were questions from user such as "Can you include all of our requests?" These requests had to be listed, and we had to create both a plan to realize the list and alternative plan until realizing the list at the same time.

Of course technological skill is important to fulfill the contract successfully, but it is also important to step into area that is not written in the contract such as human relations, and other areas that are not visible. Even if there is something that can't be conveyed at first, I can visualize it many times, show in the documents, and discuss until it is finally conveyed. Whatever the proposal is, if we don't gain trust, we can't convince the clients. Thus, I really value communication with clients.

Time schedule when participating in overseas projects

When I was participating in a project in India, I stayed in India for two weeks, returned to Japan for one week, and then again stayed in India for two weeks. I had to do business trip repeatedly. With a team of four, we took turn to India and Japan. There are three hours difference from India. When I was in Japan, I usually came to work before 11:00 and worked until around 21:00.

In EBSS there are short overseas business trips, but recently we started to have base in ASEAN and North America. We can also be assigned based on family consideration rather than business trip. In my opinion, for those who like going overseas and full of curiosity, it is a fun and rewarding job. Let's work together!
