Why I joined EBSS

From around 2002, the implementation of ERP system had been actively promoted in Japan. The first company where I worked also had enhanced EBS implementation business, and I was assigned as the person in charge. In that project, I had a chance to work with EBSS members and I was very impressed by their strong leadership. Also, it was very impressive for me that there were many distinctive individuals who are full of great ideas in the company. For me who was System Engineer at that time, it was a really good motivation and it gave me opportunity to make a career change afterwards.

Even though I had applied and gotten job offers from several other consulting companies, I decided to join EBSS, at which I have experience working together before. I was very interested to work with people with different point of view in EBSS. In addition, I knew the company culture to some extent and also expected career improvement.

Current my tasks and important things as consultant

I am now in charge of IoT related projects. Although IoT has recently become a familiar term, IoT is still a relatively new field. There are not so many implementation methods or examples of best practice.

Many of our staff, including myself, are always aware of daily new challenges. The things that I always become aware are that we must grasp things from the clients' point of view as much as possible and work on what is the best for the clients with sincere attitude. Moreover, it is important to provide clients with opinions and ideas from different perspectives and to make progress together with them.

What I learned after joining the company

Since I was originally a System Engineer, when I joined EBSS, I was still a beginner IT Consultant, so I went through on-the-job training and in-house training. Many EBSS employees have experiences in overseas projects, and they have been in contact with various countries, regions, and cultures. So, as a foreigner, I feel accepted as one of the member and I never feel out of place.

Messages to those considering joining EBSS

EBSS is actually a very global company. Even though it is not a large company, there are many overseas projects including North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and China. So, in my opinion it is the best company for those who want to work overseas.

I am from Inner Mongolia, however as the company has capital from Japanese as well as foreign corporation, there is no gap between Japanese and foreigners. This company has a relatively free atmosphere so that I can express my opinions and requests. I also feel that this company is easy to work for since they adopt the employee benefit system of the parent company, therefore I get the typical employee benefits of big corporations.
