Toshiba International Corporation (TIC) had been utilizing legacy operating system for almost 20 years, and getting inflexible to meet the recent business requirements and the needs on market changes.

Then Toshiba Corporation and TIC had decided to replace the legacy system to Oracle EBS which was Toshiba Standard ERP package and the Project started in Jan-2014.

However the implementation was not straight forward since TIC has 4 deferent plants and each plant was manufacturing totally deferent products and operation cannot be simply standardized, also there were certain gaps between Toshiba standard business specification/operating rules and TIC plant specific requirements/ required service levels.

Under these circumstances, the project must always consider the balanced solution with looking at both Toshiba standard and plant specific requirements, and this was one of the biggest critical success factor on this implementation.

EBSS has been assigned since the grand design phase as PMO and always making an effort to come up the practical and realistic solutions with corporate governance, EBSS is confident that our consultants definitely helped to go live on schedule and on budget.

For years afterward, TIC and EBSS have been fostering strategic partnership through several other project such as EBS platform IaaS migration, EBS version up grade, BI/Hyperion replacement…etc.
