From System Integrator to the field of ERP
After graduating from university, I joined a system integrator and gained experience in scratch development and accounting system implementation. At the time, many companies were implementing ERP, so I joined EBSS to make ERP the core of my career.
After joining EBSS, I gained experience in the ERP accounting field by traveling around domestic and overseas group company locations to implement an accounting system for a major printing equipment manufacturer, and by separating the accounting system at four locations in six months due to a company merger and closure at a manufacturer.
Meeting with a wide range of users, not just accounting, but also production and sales
ERP has entered the cloud era, and we are hearing the slogan "Fit to Standard" more often than before. It is necessary to design a system that utilizes ERP to optimize the whole system and management perspective, rather than relying on individualized operations.
However, we have encountered many cases where collecting data required from a management perspective places a heavy burden on on-site input work, or where applying the ideal standard business process actually reduces on-site efficiency. In my long experience of ERP system implementation, I often feel that there is a lack of understanding between the management team/management department and the field.
For this reason, although I am often in charge of the accounting area of ERP, I try to meet as many on-site personnel as possible in each business area that makes up ERP, such as manufacturing, logistics, and sales. By taking into account the situation on-site and addressing the issues that arise when implementing ERP, I aim to present a solution that both parties can agree on.
We propose a feasible and optimized system for the accelerating changes in the business environment.
This year, we received a request for support from a client who we supported six years ago in introducing an ERP accounting system. Six years ago, we were not in the position to introduce the ERP itself, but instead supported the development of data linkage functions with peripheral systems, response to exceptional operations that the ERP did not cover, and organization of EUC tools held by each department.
This time, the ERP system needed to be revised due to changes in the business environment, and the person in charge at that time remembered me and contacted EBSS, saying that Kuromaru could handle it. It was a happy event that made me realize that my past approach was appreciated.
These days, the speed of business transformation and M&A is faster than the cycle of replacing enterprise systems, and ERP solutions that can keep up with them and the promotion of system migration and integration projects are required. In addition, the deadline for system adaptation is set earlier in the accounting field than in other fields, and more speed is often required in response.
We will listen carefully to the voices of the on-site while keeping up with the speed of changes in the business environment and propose feasible and optimal solutions. With my experience in ERP consulting at EBSS, I would like to continue to meet the expectations of our customers.
