RPA Implementation Consulting
To corporate executives.
If you want to implement RPA (Robotic Process Automation) into your company, leave it to knowledge-rich EBSS.
Are not you troubled by following points?
- What is RPA?
- Which processes should we start for RPA?
- Purchasing, accounting, travel expenses, personnel is typical process for RPA, but can it be applied to BOM (parts list) registration of the technical department or shipping document registration etc?
- RPA is said to be a “Trump card” for indirect work saving, but each target tasks might be too small to be effective for implementing robots.
- Only a few tasks can be substituted for robots. It is known that there is a merit that a robot works through 24H without a mistake, but is there any good way to calculate the ROI (Return on Investment)?
- RPA is implemented separately by different departments, so the governance does not work.
- It is difficult to ensure the quality of the system due to the diffusion of “Un-managed” robots. Is it ok to leave RPA robots to each departments like “Excel macros”? Robots should be standardized and reused, and is there any better way?
- Is there any implementation steps for RPA?
- Not to say PMBOK*, but is it necessary to prepare RPA implementation steps and rules? (*PMBOK is a systematized compilation of project management know-how and methods issued by the Project Management Association of the United States.)
- Do not want to use cloud-type RPA for ERP systems because it contains confidential information.
- Want to know the best combination of ERP system and RPA service.
What is RPA?
RPA is an operation automation tool that execute a series of routine white-color tasks like human beings by combining technologies and tools such as workflow and screen character recognition. In particular, RPA substitutes for actions such as menu selection, pull-down selection, and item input that a person is operating toward a PC.

Strength of EBSS
EBSS has prepared a consulting model that connects the consulting services organically that RPA implementation planning in "IT innovation area" and project execution consulting service at "Management area" based on the experience of ERP implementation and system conversion in "Technology area", business process understanding and business improvement in "Business innovation area".
PRA's four pillars of Business improvement, IT planning, PMO, and IT (RPA) implementation will produce significant effects. Our consulting model covers all of them.
- Business innovation consulting
- We have know-how such as AS-IS analysis, To-Be, review of business process, effect calculation (hard saving, soft saving), establishment of improvement work etc.
- IT Planning consulting
- We have know-how such as IT implementation plan documents and frameworks, organizational structure, and project execution.
- Project Management consulting
- We have various patterns of project execution know-how.
- IT implementation consulting
- Our company engages in IT system implementation project to many domestic and foreign clients including Toshiba Corporation, and acquires experience at complicated patterns of IT implementation and know-how of RPA implementation.
- Rather than consulting RPA tools like many vendors, we perform consulting from the client's point of view, from business improvement to implementation execution.
- We cover the selection and evaluation of RPA tools that are most suitable for client requirements. Therefore, without relying on specific RPA tools, we recommend specialized vendors about licensing and implementation, and we conduct consulting from the client's point of view.

Example of RPA service
Issue: One client started to work on RPA, but each operations are so small and the effect is difficult to calculate. Governance does not work for the first time because it is implemented separately in each department.
- Case detail:
- Knowledge accumulation (standardization of robots and implementation process) by establishing RPA center.
- Implementation support by RPA consultant
- Our specific supports were as follows:
- Collection of implemented case information, RPA introduction, RPA education, and organizing business operation in the initial phase of RPA.
- Improved the understanding of the user department, clarified the roles and processes, and improved development efficiency and quality stabilization by reusing robots.
As a result, we were able to improve the ROI (return on investment) by shortening the implementation period, and to increase the ROI across organizations by reusing robots.
